More Garden Tips:

Plant strawberries by digging a V-shaped hole about 8 inches deep.  Spread the roots out, place the roots against the side of the hole, then push soil against the roots.  As the plant sends out runner, trim all but the best six runners for an abundant crop.

Prune raspberries in the springof their second year to 3 1/2 feet.  This wil force the side branches to grow providing fruit later in the summer.
