Marvel of Perus are excellent for pots or large tubs, and they make an great annual hedge.
They are lightly fragrant.
The Four O'clock Marvel of Peru, 'Mirabilis jalapa', has flowers that often open after 4 pm for late day drama.
Four O'clock grows and flowers almost anywhere including hot, windy spots.
The 2 inch long, 1 inch wide tubular shaped flowers appear in colors of crimson, red, scarlet, white, pink, and yellow.
Plant in the spring after the last average frost date.
Water frequently for best results.
