The Spiraea `Little Princess', Spiraea japonica, is easily grown in average, medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. Prune in late winter to early spring. Little Princess" Spiraea cultivar is a dense, upright, compact, mounded deciduous shrub which typically grows to 2-4' tall with a similar spread. Narrow, dark blue-green foliage. It has no serious insect or disease problems, and is effective in borders, cottage gardens, foundation plantings, or hedges. It tolerates a wide range of soils.

Brussel sprouts grow well in cool climates.  The 2 1/2 feet tall plant might produce as many as a hundred 1 to 2 inch ball-like sprouts.
