The leaves arise on stems from long rhizomes in the mud. Water lilies usually live in water that is rich in oxygen and receives a lot of sunlight. The leaves are nearly circular in shape, and they are notched to the center. Water lilies have floating leaves. The Water Lily Attraction, Nymphaea 'Attraction', a spring water planted tuber, produces beautiful red flowers with white edges.

Brussel sprouts grow well in cool climates.  The 2 1/2 feet tall plant might produce as many as a hundred 1 to 2 inch ball-like sprouts.
