The Korean Evodia, 'Evodia daniellii' is one of the few flowering trees that flower in the summer, rather than spring. This plant appears to do better in good soils and seems somewhat intolerant of impoverished soils. Fruit remains during the winter and adds interest to an uninteresting time of year. This plant's small size will allow it to be used in restricted spaces, keeping in mind that it is as wide as tall. White flowers are borne in mid summer and are quite showy. It is a good honey plant and the foliage looks good all summer.

Brussel sprouts grow well in cool climates.  The 2 1/2 feet tall plant might produce as many as a hundred 1 to 2 inch ball-like sprouts.
